State of Massachusetts Program Coordinator II -DOC in Milford, Massachusetts
The Program Coordinator II (PC II) is responsible for monitoring and evaluation of offenders released early, due to completion credit, from the Department to Parole by reviewing sentence structure and ensuring accurate release dates. The PC II coordinates and monitors program activities to ensure offenders are in compliance with recommended programs, monitors effective operations and compliance with established policies, procedures and interagency agreements. Duties include tracking and computing sentence calculations for release to the street; working with the Department’s Central Date Computation Unit in preparing discharge/release packets, administering the assessment tool utilized by Parole once certified, working collaboratively with Parole to ensure that returned offenders are being tracked, monitored, and release dates are adjusted accordingly; assisting in devising methods of measuring objectives and performance measures; maintaining liaison with various private, local, state and federal agencies to assist in determining best practice; functioning as a liaison with DOC administration and Parole administration; attending meetings and conferences as required; maintaining records and preparing reports as required and performing other duties as assigned.
Applicants must have no felony convictions, to include any actions defined in 5 U.S.C. 301; U.S.C. 509, 510; 42 U.S.C. 15601-15609. The Massachusetts Department of Correction shall not hire anyone who may have direct contact with offenders, who has engaged in sexual abuse in a prison or other institution as defined in 42 U.S.C. 1997; or has been convicted of engaging or attempting to engage in sexual activity in the community facilitated by force, overt or implied threats of force or coercion, or if the victim did not consent or was unable to consent or refuse, or has been civilly or administratively adjudicated to have engaged in the activity described in the above paragraph. The agency shall consider any incidents of sexual harassment in determining whether to hire anyone who may have contact with offenders or residents

MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have at least (A) three years of full time, or equivalent part-time, professional, administrative or managerial experience in business administration, business management or public administration the major duties of which involved program management, program administration, program coordination, program planning and/or program analysis, or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
I. A Bachelor's degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of two years of the-required experience.*
II. A Graduate degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for the required experience.*
III. A Bachelor's or higher degree with a major other than in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.*
*Education toward such a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
